Leticia Marfil, who plays Suzie, the tennis student victim, wasn't an actress. She was the daughter of Mercedes Marfil, the person in charge of wardrobe. Mercedes told the director, Juan Piquer Simon, that her daughter wanted to be an actress. After meeting her, Simon thought she would be perfect for the role of Suzie - which she became incredibly excited about. They filmed her scenes with Lynda Day George on the tennis courts first, then shot her scenes in the locker room the next day. Simon informed Leticia that he had rewritten the sequence, where it originally started with her fully dressed after changing, but he felt it would make more sense to show her showering first. The actress hesitated, but eventually relented. Half a day was spent filming her totally nude in the shower, surrounded by a crew of all men. When it came to shooting in the locker room, Leticia wore a towel, which she removed and then slipped on panties and sweat pants. The director stopped her and suggested it would add more intensity if she were topless when attacked. Another two days were spent filming with Leticia being topless for the chase scenes and her death scene, including spending hours with the makeup effects guys to make her look like she was cut in half. A year after this movie, Marfil was cast for a guest part in a TV series and then a role in the film, The Last Kamikaze, the year after that. Her mother was wardrobe manager on that film and helped get her a part, where she played an artist's model and had to perform stark nude again. She never acted again, because the only offers she received required nudity.
